Question Hall Effect Sensor

I just received my Hall Effect sensor from GRT. I would like to measure amps between the battery and the alternator. I have two questions:

1) As with Dan C?s setup I have copper strip between the ANL limiter and the starter relay. Can I put the doughnut around the copper strip?

2) Is it OK if the doughnut is touching the firewall?

Thanks

Default Yes...

Yes to both questions. Be careful the insulation on the donut doesn't wear away if it is touching the firewall.
