Default Recycled Wing Crate Box

I came up with an idea to recycle the wing crate box and make a wing stand out of it. Should come in handy and all construction details are on my website plus more pics.

One thing that comes to mind is that all the weight sits on those two pressure points. I'd want to cut out some clones to fit in the middle to help spread the weight.

Kevin,

You must not have lifted RV wings before. Wings are very light!

Default My wing storage made for the crate...

Here is the recycled wing shipping crate / wing cradle I made when building my RV-9A wings.

http://www.n2prise.org/rv9a008.htm

My wings weighed about 62 pounds without flaps or ailerons.

Default My Wife

Made a chicken coop out of the finish crate...I wouldn't mind but as we live close to Vans we BORROWd my buddies finish crate which I screwed to our utility trailer to go get the kit.

Two days later it was a chicken coop!

Ooops!
