Default Tip: Cutting bottom of slider frame tubes

Use your tubing cutter to trim the slider frame... don't bother with a hacksaw!

I just cut my slider frame tubes yesterday to level the forward bow with the slider frame. After contemplating how to cut them down and cut them square with a hacksaw (something I've never been very good at), I decided to see, just out of curiousity, how my fuel line tubing cutter from Harbor Freight would work. Although I would have thought that the steel would be too much for it, it cut right through that relatively thin wall steel easily and perfectly square. I first cut off about 10/32, then about 1/16 more off each side and both sets of cuts came out perfect! On my tubing cutter, though, 1/16" was the least amount I was able to cut off. Fortunately I guessed right (I think) so there should be no filing required. Hope this helps those who follow.
