Default Carburetor Needed

Hi Guys

I need to have my carburetor overhauled or maybe buy a rebuilt one.
Do you have a favorite shop for this service?

Default Reman

In November 2006 I traded in my used carb for a remanufactured unit by Avstar. Looks brand new. AERO is a retailer for Avstar. Cost: $592.20, excluding core charge of $400. I believe a new carb is about $1,600, or more. The Avstar reman units are certified and come with papers and a warrantee. It's not an "experimental" unit. The FBO mechanic at my airport says he almost never sees a new carb come through his shop, only reman by Avstar. I have seen previous posts that people claim they have rebuilt their own carbs. Good luck.
