Default RV-7/9 tip up panel redo information

We own an RV-9A tip up built in 2003. The panel is all round dials. We are having AFS build us a panel with 2 5600 EFIS, an IFD 540, the Dynon autopilot and radio remotes, etc. Installing it will necessitate taking out the entire old panel and gathering/labeling the wiring into connectors. The sub panel has numerous holes in it from the previous parts penetrating it, including a Garmin 430W and a glove box (how 90's ) ).

I'm sure others have gone thru the drill of patching holes in the subpanel and making new ones, moving the panel bracing, etc. Has anyone put their experiences in a blog with pictures? Any information would be appreciated.
