Default Garmin GNS-530 Install

Here is my Garmin 530 install in my RV-9 project.

Because the Garmin 430 and 530 is over 11 inches long, the box must protrude an inch through the middle bulkhead. I feel that structural integrity is maintained through the use of attaching brackets and the rigidity of the radio box.

The 530 is WAAS IFR certified, and has a color moving map with terrain display. My gyros are vacuum powered, but you could do electric gyros if you want. Just another panel alternative for those of us unwilling to fly IFR in an uncertified glass cockpit.

If you want more information on the install, PM me for more pictures and details.
