Default Change of owners and Phase 1

Question: I got my AW cert and the phase 1 area and instructions. I then sold the plane prior to any flying. Is there anything needed for the new owner, or does he just comply with the instructions as if he was the one getting the AW, including the test area? The aircraft is based at the same airport where the area was first designated.

To the best of my knowledge, the Operating Limitations (including Phase 1 & 2) pertain to the aircraft, not a specific operator. An appropriate sign of will be required once the Phase 1 requirements have been complied with. Fortunately the aircraft is based at the same field, therefore the existing geographical boundaries still apply.

If the aircraft is still based at the original airport, nothing need be done. The new owner simply complies with the op lims. Anyone qualified to fly the aircraft may fly it during phase I.
