Default Cowling

Have search the forums for a previous threat that talked of cutting the front of the lower cowling for easier installation. Darned if I can find it. Would appreciate if someone could steer me in the right direction. I have found the gear leg fairings are in the way when installing the lower coal and have damaged them over the past 2 years. Thanks in advance.
