Default Brake noise?

My brakes were working fine and then I had to re-bend the brake line (solid aluminum) a bit to clear the leg fairing. Now my right brake squawks like a injured goose when I brake. I tried making sure the line wasn't applying any side pressure to the brake. Any ideas?

The bend is probably putting a "twist" on the caliper. You should be able to relieve that with another slight "complementary" bend. There should be no "pre load" on the caliper...it should be able to slide on the posts pretty freely.

There was a thread few months back about a similar situation, IIRC, the solution was to tape the brake line down to the gear leg-------the noise was coming from the alum tube vibrating.

Quick, simple, and cheep thing to try before you tear into the brakes.

Found it. http://www.vansairforce.com/communit...ad.php?t=16561
