Default NFlightCam mount - slight caution

I have the "old style" NFlightCam mount for my video camera, and decided to try the "new style" mount:

https://www.nflightcam.com/collectio...exterior-mount

It works fine, but I kind of preferred the older one, so removed the "spud" for the new one from the wing. Good thing I put down some PPG Paint Protection Film underneath it when mounting it...the rubber on the bottom of the mount discolored the PPG film, and left a nice yellowish stain with even the cross-hatches visible. Glad I hadn't mounted it without the film...I suspect it may have stained the paint.

So just a heads-up to anyone thinking of using this (or really, any mount)...consider putting some sort of barrier between it and your nice, expensive paint job!
