Question Slider Canopy. Help on parts 6111 left and right

Vans manual dosnt give great detail on how these 2 parts are inserted. Anyone with some advice or photos on how they did them would be great.
For example are they only riveted to aft top skin or are they cut and made but together with F-706 bulkhead and longeron.
Thanks

Default F6111

If you'll cut the bottoms off even with the tooling holes and then take one inch off the tops you can start the fit. You'll just clean up the bottoms with a scotch brite wheel, the tops you'll trim a little more. The plans show the tops fitting under the F706 but that's totally un-necessary as all this rib is for is to stiffen the side skin. (and yes I called Van's on this). I elected not to go under the F706 because it fits and looks a lot better. They are really easy after you trim the bottom. Draw a center line and start drilling from the bottom. Once you get to the top four rivets you will need to drill the last top rivet first then finish from the bottom up. The bend will get you if you don't.
