The Saturday "Wall Street Journal" has a front page article about the flying adventures of John McAfee, who made his money off Windows users trying to protect their computers. There is mention of him having spent 11 million dollars building a network of airports in Arizona and New Mexico for the use of his band of LS Aircraft flyers.

Does anyone know about any of these airports and whether they would be RV usable?

He bought a house on our airpark, but while we are RV compatible, we are also private and Prior Permission Only (PPO).

His other large location is in Rodeo, NM right on the AZ/NM border South of the freeway. I think it's the place at 32-01'49" - 109-2'27" - it's not the strip marked "Rodeo" on the charts.

The video probably shows canyon flying (I read the articles, but did not view the video), and this has caused some concerns/complaints from the residents (and bird watchers) of those areas. They do sound like noisy flying sewing machines.

There was a very good segment on Wings To Adventure about Mr McAfee and his aerotrekkers. Quite an interesting business but the machines are pretty pricey.
The reruns are still being shown on The Outdoor Channel three times a week until they come out with a new aviation oriented series sometime later this year.
