Remove paint on brake disks?

Should we be removing the paint on the brake disks before break-in to keep from grinding it into the pads?

It comes right off with lacquer thinner, might even come off with acetone. Many leave it on, but why not remove it from where the pads rub? Takes about 5 minutes.

Yep, easiest with mek soaked into a bit of fine scotchbrite. One scrape with that, let it sit 5 min and then wipe it off.
