Default Ferry Permit for Expermentals?

Hello All,
My RV-12 which is an E-LSA is in a shop out of state. We will not be able to pick it up till next month. The condition inspection is due this month. Does an experimental need a ferry permit to move the aircraft to a place where the inspection will be done?
Thanks in advance

Default Ferry Permit

Start working on the ferry permit now. Paper work is easy, but getting the Feds to sign off on it takes a few days. It does depend on where you are mand who is going to sign it off.
