Default 6/7/9 hole in seatback bulkhead for under longeron wiring

For RV-6, 7, 9...

I've seen it here recently, but I'm having a hard time finding the old RVator article or other guide that described mirroring on the right side (for additional wire routing options) the hole through the seat back bulkhead that is used for the static line on the left. I'm wondering how large this hole can be.

I need to run some autopilot pitch servo wires up to the panel and have to go high under the right longeron because my tunnel holes are filled. The wiring could easily fit in a 3/16-1/4" i.d. grommet, but the hole would have to be larger to allow for the o.d. of that grommet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Its a little different location but I recently sent this email to vans support;

To run some antenna coax I'd like to drill a 1/2" hole in the F-705 assembly. The hole would be placed in the F-705D-L bulkhead side channel above the rudder cable hole and below the F-705E-L bulkhead side doubler. OK? Thanks

to me

It?s probably OK ? we have not evaluated all the possible places where builders want extra holes.

Just keep the hole as small as possible and away from the edges and other holes
