Default Engine Hanging Problem (bolt spacer)!

We just started hanging the engine and the spacers that the bolts go through for the mount are too small. The -7 bolts will not go into the ID of the metal spacers. Do the spacers get reamed or do I have the wrong spacers? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Sounds like you have the wrong spacers. They should slip right through. They should not even be a tight fit.

The spacer part number matches the drawing. The I.D. of the spacers are .4255". How large is the ID supposed to be?

Default Bushings

The generic id for the bushings would be around .447. AN7 bolt would be around .435/.436. AN bolts typically measure about .0015/.002 under the nominal size. Size of the spacer is not critical, only the length is important. You can make some spacers from 9/16" x .058 4130 tubing.

I reamed the ID and they worked fine.
