Hi guys and gals,

I been looking at the IFR charts to find a way from the Willamette valley (Western Oregon) over to St george UT.

The MEAs are mostly too high to cross the Cascades up North and travel down the East side but there looks to be a away to cross over to Reno from N Kalifornia (don't have my California chart with me).

Does anyone have a preferred route to cross over the mountains in theis area? I'm planning IFR just in case but wondered if there was a convenient scud route that anyone favours?

I live in Lincoln which is just west and north of Sacramento. I basically follow I-80 across. You have two airports along 80, blue mountain and Truckee and your not far from Tahoe. You can cross over Donner pass at 9.5 k with ease. Plus it's beautiful scenery...
