Default POH (fuel injected engine)?

Anyone have a POH for fuel injected engines? I just swapped out my O-360 from fadec to mechanical FI (Ex. RSA-5 from AFP).

Just want to know what I need to do so I don't flood the darn thing...

Thanks in advance,
D

c) Master Switch ? ON
d) Mixture ? FULL RICH
e) Prop ? FULL FORWARD (High RPM)
f) Throttle ? FULL FORWARD
g) Fuel Boost Pump ? ON (3-5 Seconds)
h) Fuel Boost Pump ? OFF
i) Mixture ? IDLE /CUT OFF
j) Throttle ? Set (Approximately 1⁄4 of Travel)
k) Propeller Area ? CLEAR
l) Starter ? ENGAGE
m) Mixture ? MOVE SLOWLY FORWARD then LEAN
n) Oil Pressure ? CHECK
o) Alternator / Avionics / EFIS / Autopilot ? SWITCHES ? ON
p) Strobe and NAV Lights ? ON
q) Flaps ? UP
r) Fuel? CONFIRM EFIS FUEL SET FOR ACTUAL AMOUNT
s) Transponder ? START TIMER

Default Slightly different approach provided by Nigel,....worked for me

Join Date: Dec 2008

My engine has 10:1, Precision Airmotive Fuel Injection and Dual PMags with jumper wires installed.

I hot start mine by:

Throttle open ~1/2 inch
Mixture Idle Cut Off
No priming, boost pump Off
Starter engage
Mixture slowly forward ('slowly' is at a rate that would take you from ICO to rich in about 5 seconds) until it starts, which is usually about mid range.
Throttle as required to set idle RPM
Mixture lean
Boost pump as required to keep it from stumbling if the fuel pressure fluctuates.

Cheers

Nige

Default When to use Aux Boost Pump on Injected Engine

So do you turn on the AUX Boost Pump for take off and landing on a Fuel Injected engine like you do on a carborator engine? I'm getting close to running my RV with IO-360 and for 20 years I've flown only a O-540. I've started my IO engine twice with the procedure described earlier and it works great. Now when I finally get ready to take off, do you turn the boost pump on for take-off? And then again for landing, in case a go-around is needed?

thanks

I have the Superior IO360 and my engine manual does not specify ?boost pump - ON? for take off or landing.

As a rule I do not turn the boost pump on for take offs, landings or swapping fuel tanks (which I do every 30 minutes inflight). Probably the conservative approach would be to turn the pump on but then you?ve got to remember to turn it off. I?ve been known to forget this step!

However, If my engine ever coughs on me the first thing I?ll do will be to turn the boost pump on, make sure I?m full rich, and then swap fuel tanks.
