Fibreglass primer
I'd appreciate suggestions for a good fibreglass primer. I've had a suggestion for SPI but it doesn't seem readily available in Canada. It has to be compatible with UV Smooth Prime.

I've been using the Kirker epoxy primer -

I think they will ship to Canada - it looks like you may be closer to them than I am in Arizona.

Use the same primer you will use when painting the plane.

I'm going to have the plane professionally done (to be determined who exactly) so I don't know that info Carl.

I forgot to mention they do a white colour, which I think looks better if you want to test fly before final paint.

If you haven't picked a painter, just get the contours right, fill the pinholes, and wait until you pick your painter. Once you pick your painter, he may have a product line he wants you to use if you do any further prep work.

I tried that with a couple of local painters and they all said the same thing.
Use an epoxy primer if you want to fly it first.
They didn't seem to be fussy about a particular one.
