Lightbulb HangarIt

Yesterday, I came across a new startup called HangarIt.com (I am not affiliated with it in any way).

It is a service that attempts to join empty hangars with traveling pilots. The price of the hangar overnight is set by the hangar owner. Current prices so far range from $17 to $95 per night.

It is free, so I signed up. The signup process took me about 90 seconds. It seems like it is just getting started (currently offering 14 hangars), but seems like a great idea if it gets adopted.

Given that VAF members seem to be an ideal demographic, I thought I would help spread the word here.

I wonder how the proof of insurance is handled for those of us that rent from an airport and not own the hangar.
