Default Artex 345 ELT Whip Antenna placement

What are you all doing for the Artex ELT antenna as far as installation goes? I believe it's intended to be mounted exterior on top of the aft fuselage behind the canopy......or are people mounting inside the cabin behind the passenger armrest? In my search it sounds like the Redline Rv8 guys are mounting inside? Anybody have photos?
Thx

Mounted mine horizontal under the fiberglass empennage fairing. Some DARs want them mounted vertically/externally, but whose knows what attitude a downed aircraft will wind up in. Additionally there is less chance of the antenna being dislodged from the aircraft in the somewhat protected tailcone area.
