Default F-904G vertical bar rivets

Squeezed the AN426AD4-14 rivets that attach the vertical bar to the spar carrythough web. The heads of my rivet ended up closer to AD3 size, both in diameter and height. It would appear these two rivets simply hold the bar in place until the spar is bolted into place. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be trying to find a source for -15/16 rivets and replace these?

I had the same problem and reached the same conclusion. I left them as-is. Drilling those out will not be easy, anyway!

This topic has come up in the forums before. The only purpose for these rivets is to hold the bars in place until you get the bolts through the center section and wing spars. Good luck.

Thanks Paul and Steve - that's what I thought - and was hoping for. I searched all over the site, but couldn't find a previous post on this so thanks for your help!
