Default Seam sealer-wing tip gap

I have a gap of approx. 1/8 in. between wing tip & wing in places. The tips are held on with nut plates. It has been suggested that this gap could be filled with auto body seam sealer. Is this a good solution & if so, what brand? Can tips be removed after the sealer sets? If not a good idea, any other suggestions?

This is what I used to address an ill-fitting (removable) wingtip. Sooner or later, you are going to be needing a good epoxy system anyway.

Default Sealing seams

Proseal is a great seam filler/sealer and it is paintable. It can be removed later if you remove your tips. Proseal is what is used on virtually all airliners to seal all the panel edges and gaps...just mask the edges and spread it on with a plastic bono applicator to squeeze out the excess. Good luck !
