Slow propeller response

Hi,
I have been involved with an RV7 which has really slow response to pitch commands. The prop' will go coarse quite quickly, but take about 5 seconds to go from coarse to fine when cycling the prop' during power checks.....anything to be concerned about?

My prop will do just about the same thing if the RPM is in the 1200-1300 range, shows good fast movement either way at 1800 - what RPM are you using?

My Whirlwind needs at least 1750 RPMs to cycle.

Yep... Hartzell is slow to respond at 1700, but likes 1800.
