Default IO-390 Maintenance Manual Available

In the old days, paper service documents were expensive and slow to obtain. Today, most technical documents are downloadable at Lycoming.com, for free. You can even subscribe for email notification when another document is posted.

I just happened to be scrolling through the online list, looking for something else, and stumbled across a maintenance manual for the IO-390, dated January 2017. Just a glance says this is not your father's Lycoming manual, for sure. Although it's for a C-model, most of it will apply to the experimental 390's we fly.

Visit www.lycoming.com, click "Technical Publications" at the top, select "Maintenance Manuals" from the drop down list under Publication Category, and search "390".

And one more thing. Next time you speak with any Lycoming representative, tell them "Thank you". Whoever made the decision to post the documents online deserves a shrine in the Maintainers Hall of Fame.
