Default fuel vent routing

i am planning out my vent line and my intended route will take it a couple inches below where it attaches to the tank. it will run like that for 15'' and then go to top of cabin, 15'' above tank and at that point attach to antisiphon line and then head to the belly where it will exit. i am familiar with anti siphon, siphoning etc. is there a reason not to allow the vent line below its attach point to the tank? i am sure the low portion of the line will at times have fuel but i don't see any problem. opinions?

I would be nervous of having a spot that can trap liquid. Condensation could be frozen there and stop the vent.

good call. i will definitely route my vent line to avoid any low sports. glad i asked.

I know that there has been a lot of discussion around this topic on this forum. How do we explain Van's stock fuel vent routing? Major loop seal.

I did the Rocket style vents in the wing root. Much easier than the plans routing and it works great.
