Default PTT Switch Sticking-Fix?

On my last flight the PTT switch is sticking.

Anybody have this issue? How did you fix it?

Best regards,

I would just replace it, they are cheap. but I suppose you could remove it and try cleaning it.

Default Same here.

The springs in them get bad a lot. I would get another good brand one and just change it out. Your call. Yours. R.E.A. III # 80888

Default Ray Allen G205 Grip

After searching the web, looks like I have a Ray Allen G205 grip.

After reading the advice, anybody know which switch from Aircraft Spruce is a direct replacement for the PTT SPDT.

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...ickkey=3008651

or
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...hp?recfer=5745

Bought my Rv as already flying, don't have any paperwork or instructions on how to replace, anybody have the instructions? Did not find any on the Ray Allen site.

Best regards,
Mike Bauer

Wanted to fly today, clear skies and 20deg F. Decided to try a little spritz of remington gun dry lube. It worked fine.

Thought about using some silicone spray, research said, "not good for electrical contacts or plastic/foam rubber".

Made sure to spray the dry lube at a 90 deg side angle and not force any into the switch. Was able to fly without the PTT sticking.

Now planning to buy a complete new switch and replace, for now the temp fix is working.

Best regards,
Mike Bauer
