Default James Cowl Intake Question

I have an IO 360 with a forward facing Bendix type throttle body. My question is how much gap should I make between the rear of the aluminum cowl ring and the intake snout where the flex hose connector goes. The cowl stays still and the engine and snout move. Thanks in advance!

I have the Airflow Performance FM150 with about 2 inches of clearance. I had to cut a little off the front of the SJ filter housing to get this much, which works well with the A model 3 blade Catto setup. If not an A model, you could probably get away with 1/2".
