Default Ducksworth LED bulb replacement

Has anyone ever replaced their Ducksworth leading edge bulb with an LED H3 bulb like this rather than replace the entire unit to enhance brightness and reduce load?:

I am going to try it rather than the more involved replacements unless someone has experienced a problem or knows a reason that it might not work. It appears to be the same bulb specification (H3).

Thanks for any thoughts.

Default I used Cree replacements

for a slightly different landing light setup --- the Cree were so noisy, radio was unusable. May not be your experience, but......?

It is such a small investment, I think that I will try it out. If it doesn't work, I can always change it back. It does seem too simple to be true!
