I'd go with two G3X (non-touch) rather than a G3X and a 695.
The SL-30 includes VOR/ILS which you won't need. It does let you download frequencies from the G3X, however. And I doubt you'd find an SL-30 for $1500.
Get the 307 autopilot controller rather than the 305 -- I wish I did, but I ordered the 305 right before the 307 was announced.
The good news is that the RV-4 is one of the world's easiest planes to work on the instrument panel. AirCam is another.
