Default tungsten bucking bars

Is tungsten carbide the same material used in the tungsten bucking bars ?
Or is it some other type of tungsten ?

Bucking bars are usually an alloy of tungsten, copper, and probably nickel, and are soft like steel to be machine-able. Tungsten carbide: diamond-like hardness and brittle.

Default Tungsten Bar

Ron is correct- Mine are about 90% tungsten, the rest nickel and copper- Brittle and hard are not good bucking bar properties. qtrmiledan@bellsouth.net

If they have nickel I would protect the surfaces with masking tape or such... some people are allergic for nickel so better just keep your hands away from it or wear gloves.

PS. Danny: Van's got your package.
