Hey guys, how tight is right for elevator/rudder attach jam nuts?

It will be interesting to see what the consensus is but I used standard torque values for the nut size. Of course I had to calculate it using corrections for the crow's foot wrench/extension I had to attach to my torque wrench.

Check AC43.13. There is a table specifically listing thin (jam) nut torques. Sorry I don't have the page # off hand.

After mounting on the fuse you may need to readjust them for proper free travel of the rudder and elevators.
