Nothing major. They were all things that a careful builder would have gotten right to begin with. That said, all of the little things add up. The biggies were correcting the flap rigging, and aligning the wheel pants. Again I did too many things at once to point at where all of the changes were. I basically bought my -10 as an extreme quickbuild, knowing there were a lot of little things to fix on a basically sound airplane. My engine is being rebuilt at Barret right now--that's something I didn't plan on.

Default Expensive repair

They are really smooth in the cruise. I really like my mt prop.

But I see 2 things against.

1- it's harder to remove the cowling.

2- more frequent overhauls and more expensive to repair. I had to incident on thr leading edge that broke the ss protection. Nothing was field repairable ( like it would be on the metal prop. I had to send the proper twice and it was a couple of thousand every time.

I will not change it on my RV 10 because I was built that way.

I plan dor a rv-7 or 14 and I will go with a metal prong to keep it simple

Another consideration is that if you have an uncertified electronic ignition, MT does not warranty the propeller.

I have the Aero-Composite 3 blade propeller on my RV10. I also installed Rod Bowers ram air induction. He supplies a removable inlet that attaches to the bottom of the cowl. When this is removed, it opens up the bottom cowl to allow plenty of clearance to remove the cowl around the 3 blade prop. This link shows what it looks like.
