Default VM1000C questions

Hello Guys.
I am in the midst of calibrating my fuel gages on the VM1000C. I have done the primary calibration in level attitude. The secondary calibration is done with the tailwheel on the ground. The instructions say that the fuel level system will switch from flight to ground mode and vice versa automatically as needed. Anyone know what the criteria is for the changeover? And do you find it accurate in both modes?
My second question deals with the percent power display. I calibrated the thing and appears to be correct for values around 75% at all altitudes. Just for kicks I tried it down low at 700' MSL very close to a standard day and it displayed only 91%. Iwas expecting more like 100%. I didn't look at the power charts yet but I'm pretty sure 30" and 2700 rpm will yield about 100% power in the conditions I stated above. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you!
Jerry
