Torque Seal Technique

Hi All,

Just curious as to what the standard is for applying torque-seal (aka "anti-sabotage inspector's laquer").

I figure there are three primary ways:

1 - Apply to where the nut and bolt contact (the tip of the bolt that is)
2 - Apply to where the nut/washer and structure contact.
3 - Appy to where the bolt head/washer and structure contact.

I'm inclined to go with 1 & 2 or 1 & 3 since I want to know if the nut has loosened or if the bolt has rotated in the hole. Is this correct or am I not thinking this through?

Some call it torque "striping," and that's generally how I look at it. Paint a stripe across all parts where -- if they move relative to each other it would be a "bad thing."
