Default Fuel line pick-up nut torque
Hallo. Sorry for the (maybe) silly question.
I can't find in the manual torque settings for the nut in the subject.
Instructions (newest revision, for RV9) say to torque at minimum setting (with wrench, I suppose), to find suitable T-715 (I have four of them, each pair with a different clock-setting), to torque just enough in order to let it match with rivet holes and then to rivet.
My question is: since the fuel pick up nut is an AN nut (3/8'') which is the correct torque inch./pound setting?

however a -6 for 3/8 tube is 75 to 125 in lbs. for alu tube fitting or nut

270-300in lbs for steel tube, fitting, and nut

Default I solved it...
...searching the web with "coupling nut torque an818". It came out a service bulletin where Van's specifcy torque is 110-130 inch. lb.

I also found this:

where it is said best torque is 75-125 (with the correct link).

Someone else wrote he adjusted nut by hand. So, I think my question was not so stupid...

In the documents you linked to me, I was not able to find torque setting.
It is strange that Van's manual does not mention coupling nut torque values and instructions, even revisions for T-715 antirotation bracket, do not mention such torque value.

Hello all!

Just saw this yesterday, Vans mention in RVator 3/2003, Page 13:

1/4" Tubing 40-65 inch-pounds

3/8" Tubing 75-125 inch-pounds

From Time to time I reading old RVators and nearly everytime Ill find someting that helps here or there.
