Default Effect of high compression on TBO

When the topic of high compression pistons is raised there are always comments that higher than standard compression pistons will reduce TBO. Does anyone have any data to show how much of a reduction might be expected?

I accept that 'TBO' is meaningless for experimental aircraft, but let's assume it means a regularly used and appropriately maintained engine should run xxxx hours without needing major rectification work. Also let's assume a regular parallel valve (I)O-360, with 8.5:1 pistons, will have a TBO of 2000 hours. What TBO could be expected from an engine with 9:1 or 10:1 compression pistons? What data is there to support those different TBOs?

Pete
