Default Two engine baffle questions

Should baffles be snugged up tight against the cooling fins or some clearance?

I have seen some pictures of engine baffles that are gold colored. Are these anodized or painted? If anodized, how is this done?

Although some would venture there are as many approaches as aircraft, at some point, the baffles are best placed in contact with the fins, although some use high temp adhesive to reduce chafing, etc. The length of that contact is the biggest variable.

Anodizing is applied through an electrically driven chemical reaction, something like chrome plating. There is an anodizing group on Yahoo! Groups that will gain you much knowledge. BTW, the gold color comes from a dye.
