Default "Continuous Operation"?

Can anyone point to an official Lycoming definition of continuous operation?

I suspect a lot of us assume it means "more than five minutes", but consider, for example a propeller limitation. Running a prop in a resonant range for more than a few seconds is not a good idea, as stress cycles are cumulative.

(Yes, I know prop limitations are not set by Lycoming. It's an example).

Interesting you bring the prop thing up.

The IO-540-K1G5 has a TO rating of 300 hp at 2700 rpm

MCP with 2 blade prop is 294hp at 2600

MCP with 3 blade is the same as TO power rating- 300hp at 2700.
