Having a blast getting Sirius weather to display on my Garmin aera 796. To the best of my knowledge my subscription is good. Garmin say if I can hear the preview channel music and see the Sirius bars next to the GPS signal bars , that my GPS and GMX 42 are working properly.
I have the aircraft outside with the GMX 42 having a clear view of the sky. 796 on and tuned to channel 1 (preview channel) and GPS has a fix on my location. Called Sirius and re-activated my signal and no go after 30 minutes.
Any ideas what else to try, what am I missing?

Ron,

You might just simply have the weather function turned off. Scroll through the weather pages and see if that might be the problem.

Yeah, I will admit that it tripped me up once too!
