Default Mixture control linkage

Got my new carb put on. It's a 10-3878 like my old one, but still a bit different. Had to think up new cuss words getting one of the nuts on with the control linkage bracket. Finally got it done after grinding the fingers of a wrench down. Re-drilled and trimmed the throttle arm to get full stroke. All good there.

Now....the dang mixture arm. There is no way that I can see to get the linkage hooked up and still have full stroke. Short of removing the carb again, removing the mixture, and designing another, I'm stuck. Making my own isn't hard, I'm a machinist, I just don't want to fight it all again.

Any ideas?
