Default PBOR II question

I'm a little unclear on the specifics of PBOR II immediate requirements.

My 3rd class expires April 30. Next day starts the new medical paradigm. Theoretically, I shouldn't have to do anything to fly on May 1, right?

The requirement states you need your doctor to sign off on a checklist and you have to take the on-line course every 4 years. Makes sense. But in my case, when will those things be required? Immediately, or within the next two years? I say next 2 years because it was 2 years ago that I had my last 3rd class medical. That means in another 2 years it'll be 4 since visiting a doctor.

Thanks Larry. Indeed it does answer my question. Hopefully they'll have the checklist available and the course on-line well ahead of time.
