Default High Crush Bearings

Hi Guys,

Was looking at the different Lycoming models and noted some have high crush bearings.

Can anyone tell me what these are and what makes them different to the standard (common) bearings?

Standard bearings use dowels in the crankcase bearing saddle and high crush don't. The crush fit keeps them in place.
