Default RV-6 battery size?

I have a 1996 RV-6 with the battery in the center of the floor up at the firewall. Does anyone know if the standard battery box fits a 25 or 35 size battery? I would go measure but the plane is 2+ hours away and I need to order one today.

Default Battery info

Concord 25RG-XC battery (22.95 LBS)
Part Number = ES 25RG-XC
Price = $147.00
Quantity

Odyssey Battery (14.50 LBS)
Part Number = ES PC680
Price = $87.50
Quantity

Looks like Vans sells the 25
Personally, I switched mine to the Odyssey, less expensive and lighter too.

I'd get the lighter Odyessy as suggested, and install some kind of spacers in the box. The Odyssey is about half the size. My battery box is the same as yours.

Default Battery

WalMart, Garden tractor battery, about the same weight as the Concord, less than $25.00!

But I don't think it is a sealed, RG battery (I have one of the tractor batteries in my kit car and it cranks the V6 just fine). This means you will need a vented and drained battery box in case the battery burps some acid. I like the Odyssey.

Thanks guys, Does the smaller Odyssey have less capacity, say to power radios with alternator failure, than the rg-25?
