Default PMag removal question

As part of the Annual Condition Inspection, I plan to remove the PMags from my -4 to inspect the bearings and cotter pins. Is in necessary or recommended to replace the magneto gaskets every time I pull a mag?

Thanks in advance!

I say yes. They are inexpensive. I'm no A/P but I was always taught that most gaskets are a one time use item.

As Carlos said, "yes".

Besides, you will probably damage them when you pull the P-mag.

I smear mine with fuel lube when I install them. While it might help prevent leaks, it definitely helps hold the gasket in place when you put the P-mag back in.

One other thing, if your P-mag has not been returned for the Version 40 upgrade, send it back. I can't stress this enough!
