Default Clamps on Vetterman Exhaust Hangers...

One of the hose clamps on my Vetterman exhaust hangers is stripped. I ordered the smallest hose clamp from Vans, and it was not small enough. What clamps are these? Are there stronger ones than ship with the exhaust kit? They are fairly easy to strip. Mine were loose and I stripped this one tightening it.

Thanks,
Michael-

Default Another option

I replaced mine with high pressure hose clamps for automotive air conditioning. I'll try to find a picture.

I used pex clamps on mine. Much stronger than the screw type and look better as well but you need the crimper to install them.

Good quality automotive hose clamps have worked well for the hangers on my O-320. I buy mine from a shop that caters to professionals vs the discount auto parts stores. Keep a couple of spares on hand and replace if necessary during the condition inspection.

I did the two per side adel clamps on the lower motor mount to .125 X 3/4 angle to exhaust with a SS band around the pipe. I think he has a pic on his website.
