Default Building an O-320 from an O-290 core

Has anyone here rebuilt an O-290 as an O-320? I have an upcoming RV-3 project that this may work nicely for. I've read some that it can be done, the case can be ground out to receive the 320 jugs and the crank fits.

Any info or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Default Call Don George in Orlando

Talk to Don George in Orlando. He took my stock O-290-D2 and turned it into a sort-of O-320 with 140 HP. It has an O-320 crankshaft (those are stronger than the O-290) and high compression pistons. He had the stock case modified for Dynafocal mounts. If anybody can do it, Don can.
