Default To paint or not to paint...

I'm repairing a damaged 1996 RV-6. It has a 19yo paint job and I'd like to paint it before I sell it. Currently the wings are off. I'm nearing the end of repairs and I need to make a critical decision and I thought I'd solice some opinions.

Should I re-assemble, fly it and paint later.... OR while it's apart in a shop that I can paint in... spend another 100hrs doing a scratch and shoot refresh?

Thanks!

I think you already know the answer. If you don't, the answer is to paint it while it's apart.

Post 1 I read (sell) if you go to a car lot and see two identical make and model, one is faded and weathered, the one next to it is shinny and clean, which one are you going to buy?

Default I've lined it up

Getting gun, surface prep, primer, paint and space lined up. I have an experienced buddy that's going to show me the tips and tricks.
