Does anyone have the recent software for the Garmin GTR225. I have the radio installed but my 2013 software version has a problem with the receive squelch not being able to be adjusted. This was a known problem and there have been a few software updates from Garmin.
I contacted Garmin support and was told they WILL NOT provide the software to a customer and the radio would need to go to a dealer which is disappointing.
Had the same issue w a GTR 255, see below, you have to find a friendly avionics dealer. Ours supplied it to us as he knew it was for an experimental aircraft.
Go into the setup mode and check your microphone gain settings. If I remember correctly that fixed the problem, the software update did not seem to make much difference.
