Post Sika canopy massaging

I Sika'd my slider canopy. I compressed the canopy frame 1/2" during the application. When complete, I installed on the aircraft and the pilot side is extending about 1/8" past the side wall of the aircraft. It is cosmetic but I was wondering if anyone has had any success with trying to bend the canopy frame after the plexiglass was applied?

I am on the fence.
